PSNA Guidelines for proposals to host a future meeting:

• The PSNA holds annual meetings in North America including the USA, Canada, and Mexico. A list of previous meetings and the associated program can be found here.
• Meetings should include locations in Canada and Mexico at least every 3-4 years.
• The annual meeting should reflect the diversities of the disciplines and the scientists engaged in phytochemical research.
• Items that should be included in the proposal likely known at the time of the initial proposal:
  • Year, location, institution, organizers.
  • Research community to be involved with meeting organization.
  • Meeting venue and facilities (size of auditorium of approximately 100-200 participants), banquet venue.
  • Local attractions; possible activities and excursion options during a free afternoon.
  • Accessibility: nearest international and local airport, transportation from airport to meeting venue.
  • Approximate costs of accommodations (inexpensive accommodations for students?)
  • Approximate range of registration fee; what does registration include?
  • An approximate budget; possible sponsors: University, federal granting agencies, industry. The PSNA provides $5000 incentive funds.
  • Suggestions for workshops to promote networking and early career development.
  • Any issues related to obtaining visas, security and safety concerns, immunization needs.
